Pakistan have done it, yes I repeat they have done it. The men in green are indeed the greatest giant slayers in the history of all of cricket. Before the start of the series not a single person, whether a Pakistani fan or not, predicted a win for the greens. The main reason for that was the relentless form New Zealand have been in the last year or so. Surely they have put together a World Class limited overs side, with immense depth and strength, particularly in the batting department.
Moreover, the way that the kiwis outclassed the Sri Lankans horrified many a Pakistani fans in thinking that the same could happen to their team too, when they travel down-under. Though, Pakistan is Pakistan afterall, the most unpredictable side in World Cricket. The men in green now just put on a fight against the home side, but also emerged victorious by 16 runs, dismissing all kiwi batsman.
Now, in a T20 game, that is a massive margin of victory, and that too against the home side. The man of the match was the mean himself, the leader leading from the front, Shahid Khan Afridi. Here is Afridi’s post match interview in which he praises Mohammad Amir’s effort and comeback to the Pakistan Cricket Team.
