The man of crisis for Pakistan Anwar Ali and vice-captain of Pakistan cricket team landed in Karachi yesterday after completing a successful tour of Srilanka and the media was waiting anxiously for the two to have a talk with them.
Anwar was given the honor to talk first and when asked about his performance in the final t20 game he said that I would like to honor my coach for my performance. When out captain Shahid Afridi was batting I was sitting next to Coach Waqar Younas.
He said to me that Anwar if your turn comes remember we can win this one from here and I said that I will play my natural game and insisted that I should play the way I used to pay. My coach gave me the license to hit the ball and that is exactly what I did.
The vice-captain of Pakistan T20 team Sarfraz Ahmad said that the team selection for any match depends on the tour management and I believe they selected the best eleven who went out there and represented Pakistan.
We all play for Pakistan and to all of us, it is the win that matters the most. I was the happiest man out there for Imad when he hit that six in the last over of the match that gave us the brilliant victory. It is and it always will be a team effort.
Pakistan won all three series against Srilanka under three different captains and it is one of the rarest time Pakistan achieved this much huge honor to bag three trophies in one tour.
