IPL is all bout drama and just moments ago we have seen one big one. this involved a young Dwivedi, Shane Watson, and Virat Kohli. The match is the first playoff of the IPL 2016 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Lions.
Young Dwivedi is an impressive player and there is no doubt about it. he played a blinder hitting 19 runs off just 9 balls. he struck two consecutive sixes to Shane Watson and then fell in the deep to the hands of Virat Kohli.
The fist six was over long off. Dwivedi used his feet to get to the pitch of the ball by Watson and smoked him over long off for a huge hit. This one came off the middle. On the very next ball, Dwivedi pulled Watson down to deep square leg for his second six of the over.
This one was slow and short and the youngster went back in his crease and dispatched this one handsomely. His third hit was a mistimed one and the ball flew to Virat Kohli at long on. Kohli ran towards the ball and picked it up inches above the ground.
Now this was a tricky catch because it looked as if the ball touched the grass twice but the real question was that did Kohli’s fingers were under the ball when he took the catch or not. Kohli was confident that he took the catch properly. The umpires were not. The third umpire saw it, had the soft signal from the on-field umpires as not out but he gave it out at the end.
