Pakistan team meets Australian fans during practice session

Pakistan team has reached Melbourne and they have started their practice sessions for the second test match against the hosts Australia. The game will start on the Boxing Day and there is a lot of buzz about this game. Pakistan’s fight back in the first test has put Australia in pressure.

The players had a session with their Australian fans here at the MCG. There was a lot of locals and the Pakistanis present outside the practice area to meet the Pakistani players. There were photos taken with the players and a lot of autographs from the players.

Pakistani team was made a request that if they could spare some time for the fans and there was no way they could have denied this. There are a lot of Pakistanis who live in Australia and they are all supporting Pakistan in the series. But at the same time there is a huge population of Australians who love Pakistan cricket team. They are huge fans of the men in green and we could see here that in this meet up there was a large community of the Australians present as well.

The kids were eager to the autographs from their favorite players. The elders were busy in getting photos with the star players of the team. Surely it was moments well spent from the fans and Pakistan cricket team. The fight back is the reason people are now glued to Pakistani players.

The first test almost was won by Pakistan. They were enroute to win the game but right at the last moment they fumbled. There were not too many wickets left with Pakistan else they could have made history in cricket for sure. They were this close. Their fight back was given a he round of applause by the Australian players, the former players and the Australian media as well. Australian skipper Steve Smith mentioned that Pakistan has given his side a wake up call. They will try to give a better performance next time.

Pakistan lost the game by just 39 runs on day five. They were chasing a mammoth total of 490 runs. Had they won this one then they would have created a history of chasing down the highest 4th innings test total. Pakistan lost Asad Shafiq on day five who batted brilliantly and was on 137 runs. For a special batsmen it had to be a special ball and that is what Asad got from Starc. Yasir Shah then got out in the same over under pressure and that was it for Pakistan.
