New Zealand had win written all over the 4th ODI of the series against India. The hosts were again beaten in a nail bitter by the kiwis. This was another close game and once again the New Zealand bowling was on the brilliant note.
New Zealand won the toss and they elected to bat first. This was a good decision made by Kane Williamson their captain. The Kiwis batted well. They have the ideal start in this game with Guptill firing some really quick runs.
New Zealand had a plan in their minds and they executed it perfectly. Their batting was superb. Guptill started the attack on the Indian bowler the moment he landed into the crease. He was not getting runs from the start of this tour.
But today he put Indian bowlers in pressure. The 9 ball over from Pandya was the perfect example of it. The medium pace bowler bowled three consecutive wides straight away. Not this he was slammed for boundaries as well.
The pressure put Pandya in the oven. He was wavered throughout the whole over. He did not find the right line and length. The New Zealand batters did a great job in getting most of the Indian bowlers in pressure. The top four kiwi batters did a fantastic job today.
Guptill hit 72 today in the match. Not only this, Latham gave him a good support with his 35. William made 41 while Taylor was out after making 35 as well. The Indian bowling came back in the match in the middle and ending overs. At that point New Zealand failed to finish the innings on a high note. They all did bowl well in the final over and restrict New Zealand for 20.
